"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Sitting on tiny horses

This was the funniest thing ever! Kenna got this brown horse and sat on it all by herself making horse noises as she bounced up and down. Ashton came along and thought it lookes so fun so he pushed Kenna off the horse and sat on it. Well Kenna was so mad that she just scooted in behind him and they were both sitting on this tiny horse together. Ashton was not happy with her so he pushed her off again. Well............. Kenna found a very tiny pony and sat on it. She was so happy! It was hilarious, we were all laughing so hard our stomachs hurt. Little ones can be so funny at times. I love my little Kenna. She is 17 months and growing way to fast for me. Notice her sippy cup in one hand and all the jewelry on, well this is how she looks almost every day, she has all the things she loves, and she is 100% girl!

Children love babies!

These little people love this baby so much! This was all of them seeing the baby for the first time and there was so much happiness in the room it was probably glowing. We could not keep their little fingers off of the baby. They all probably remember this baby in heaven and they are all so happy to be with her again. Our little one years olds, Ashton and Kenna are the most dangerous of them all, these little ones want to get so close to the baby and they just don't understand what soft means. They watch the baby so close and they follow who ever has the baby, it is a very big job to protect the baby from these two, we cannot take our eyes off of them for a second. It is so much fun for us to have them in our home. Mindy is doing good, and Emma is finally getting better jaundice levels, but still has a hard time eating. Babies are hard the first couple weeks that's all there is to it. Thank you to all of you who have helped us with the kids and meals, it has been so nice. We have appreciated it more than you'll know. Thank you, thank you!

Antelope Hunting with Daddy

They had to put the antelope in the creek to cool it down because it was so hot outside and the meat would spoil, so the girls said to their Daddy "it's kinda like fishing huh?" They are so funny sometimes.

Josh and Pa Pa Willy took the girls antelope hunting and they actually got one! The girls had their little play guns in the truck pretending to shoot and when Daddy said that he saw one the girls kept saying get it Daddy, get it! And when he shot it the were so excited and wanted to know if they could go see it. Pa Pa and Daddy told them to stay in the truck for a minute so they could go see if they really got it and before they knew it the girls had already gotten out of the truck to follow them. They had lots of fun and had to tell everyone about going hunting with Daddy.

Horse Ride for the girls

Uncle Jon taking a nap in Maddy's "kitty blanky" I am surprised Maddy let him use her favorite blanky that she had to take with her on the horse ride!
Uncle Jon and Kynzee being cool together! Kynzee sure loves Uncle Jon.

The girls got to go on a horse ride this weekend with Daddy, Pa Pa Willy, Uncle Jon, Uncle Justin and some other friends. The girls were gone all day long and they had so much fun. Every year on October 15 Josh goes elk hunting with his family and it is always a major event for the family. They pack their camp in weeks before the hunt which is what the girls got to do today, and then when it comes time to go hunting the tent is set up and they don't have as much to pack in to camp. So they ride in on horses and camp and hunt for a week until the hunt is done or until they get something. This is a tradition that the family keeps doing and it is fun to be able to have my girls involved in it. They love being outdoors and riding horses, pretty much they love anything Daddy is doing!

Mindy and Emma are home!

Mindy and Emma got to come home today. We are so excited to have them back. Mindy is doing great and the Dr. is going to watch Emma very careful because of the blood mix up that happened, but for now she is a little jaundice but doing great. Mindy came home and went to sleep, I had all the kids sleeping so I got to have the baby for a while. She is the sweetest baby, I just love babies so much. I could sit and hold a baby everyday all day long, it brings me and my home the greatest joy. She had to sit in the sunshine for a few minutes for the jaundice so I took some quick pictures of her. She is a little piece of heaven. I am so grateful for the opportunity of service I have had to have my brother and his kind family living with me. It has been so hard at times because six children together can be a challenge but we have all done great. They bought a home and will be moving the middle of October and I am happy for them but it will be sad to see them go. For now I am going to enjoy the time I have left with them and especially this sweet baby.

Nathan and Mindy's Baby is here!

We don't have a name yet but baby is here. 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. Mindy had her at 1:00 today and things went very well with the delivery and then she started bleeding and they still have not been able to get the bleeding stopped. The baby has coombs which is when the mother has the Rh factor and the two different types of bloods mix. They are waiting to see how the baby does with eating to see if it will flush the blood types out of her system but if they can't fix it they will be doing a blood transfusion. Keep them in your prayers. Thank you.

Bad Roscoe!

Here's Mindy's belly, still has a baby in it and that baby doesn't want to come out!! Poor Mindy!

I was attempting to get a good picture of my brother's dog and while I was taking a close up of him he attacked and tried to eat my camera! I jumped back from him so fast, I could not believe he would do such a thing. He is usually a very good dog. He obviously had enough of me taking his picture.

Playing dressup with the boys

Doesn't Max make a cute little girl? My girls are having lots of fun playing girly things with the little boys living in our house.

Travis and Jaimee's Wedding Day

Saturday my sister in law Jaimee got married. It was so fun to be able to share her special day with her an Travis. They were so cute together and the day was wonderful. The girls had so much fun dressing up pretty and celebrating. Josh brought the girls to the temple and it was fun to have them all there. The girls always see the temple from the road but they have never been right up close, so it was a neat experience for them. We had a great day. Weddings and babies are always my favorite!! Congratulations Travis and Jaimee!
