"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Christmas Decorations

I am so lucky, I have the biggest helpers when it comes time to putting up decorations. These girls helped me bring everything upstairs, and they helped me decorate! I don’t know what I would do without them, they really are good kids with big hearts! I don’t have a ton of decorations, and what I have is very simple, but the kids love them! It is usually the simple things in life that the kids enjoy the most anyway! Our tree is full of ornaments from all the years in the past which brings back so many memories for me. The kids have made some of them, some have been given to us, and every year I give the kids a new one to put on the tree. They love remembering which ones are theirs and where they got them from. I love Christmas time and all that it brings into my life and my home.DSC_0887 DSC_0889DSC_0922 DSC_0890 DSC_0892 DSC_0900 DSC_0910 DSC_0917

Happy Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to my brother Nick’s house to eat. Lunch was yummy and the kids had fun playing so it was a wonderful day. Josh had to work that night and his Mom was doing dinner late so me and the kids went over for dinner at their house. It worked out perfect!! We really had a very full day of fun :) The kids played so hard and they were very ready for bed that night. I have so much to be thankful for and Thanksgiving reminds me of all those things. I have the gospel in my life which I am so blessed from, I have a husband who works hard to provide for us and lets me stay home and be a Mom and raise our kids, I have been given four beautiful children who are healthy and the light of my life, I have wonderful family who are so good to me, I have good friends who keep me up when my life gets me down, I have good health that I am always so thankful for, life is great and I am very thankful for all that I have.

Turban Head Kenna

When I was little my Dad always called me “Turban Head” when I would put my towel on my head after taking a shower. My little girls love to have me wrap the towels around their hair like I do. So now I have started calling them “Turban Head”. Kenna thinks it is so funny :) O how I love this sweet little girl.DSC_0929 DSC_0927

Jaxon’s Favorite Blanket

My little boy has a favorite blanket!! Every time I lay him down in his crib he looks for this special blanket and then puts it next to his face to go to sleep. And then every time I pick him up from his crib he grabs a hold of it and has to take it with us. He holds his blanket up in front of his face and then puts it down to play peek a boo with me and he laughs and laughs, it is so fun :) It is so crazy how they get attached to something so fast.DSC_0810 DSC_0800 DSC_0806 DSC_0807

Snow Snow Snow……

My girls love the snow! What kid doesn’t love the snow right? Well Daddy introduced Jaxon to the snow and let’s just say he hated it! He took a bite of that snow ball and then threw it right back at his Daddy and started to cry. It could have been because he instantly stuck it in his mouth and it was very cold! Or it could have been because he thought it was a ball and it was an ice ball!!! (Don’t worry he does wear pants, he had just crawled to the back door and they crawled right off of him)DSC_0792 DSC_0795 DSC_0766 DSC_0768-2 DSC_0769 DSC_0771 DSC_0774 DSC_0775 DSC_0777 DSC_0778 DSC_0780 DSC_0781 DSC_0782

He must be a Boy…

Jaxon must be a boy because anytime he sees a ball in the house he has to have it!! And he can’t figure out why every time he touches it, it rolls away from him. We have this ball that is rubber with spikes on it and he loves it because it is the only one that doesn’t get away from him. Having Fun With Dad

Jaxon loves Daddy there is no doubt! Da Da was his first word and I am sure it’s because Daddy is always doing fun things with him. Look at these smiles!!  DSC_0740 DSC_0742 - Copy  DSC_0762 - Copy  DSC_0764 DSC_0765
