"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Blogs published into books

I have had a few people ask me how to get thier blogs published into books. Well, thanks to Elena I now know how. You can go to blurb.com and click on book ideas and then blog books. It shows examples of blog books that have been made. So cute! You can have your book published however you want just follow the steps. I think that it is a great idea. I am going to wait until I have a years worth to publish and then make a book of the whole year. How fun for our kids to look at and fun for us to know that we are doing this to benefit someone. I think of it as a journal and for some reason it is easier for me to journal on my blog than with a pen and paper:)

Baby Kenna gets to go outside

Kenna doesn't get to go outside very often because it is always windy and cold. But we finally had one really warm day and if you can tell from her hair very windy day. But she had so much fun playing in the grass. She loves the sunshine :)

Men will always stay "little boys" at heart

Josh and Reid rented a trench digger and they were having so much fun while they supposedly were working. They were laughing and making so much noise I had to go over and get a picture. And in the middle of their work here was little Mitch digging in the dirt. I think Josh and Reid just wanted to pretend like they were little boys digging in the dirt again :) They will always be little boys at heart. Thanks Reid for always being such a good friend to Josh and helping him out when he needs it.

Look what Daddy built!

Daddy and his little sidekicks have been working hard on this project for weeks now and finally finished it. we are missing a screw for the teeter totter so that is the only thing we have to finish. The girls absolutely love playing on it and they play for hours. Thank you to our Daddy for taking time to build it for us! Mitch and Savannah came over to play with the girls the other day while their daddies were outside working. They had so much fun together!

Cousin Taya's 1st birthday party

Taya turned one and it is so hard to believe. Time goes by too fast. Taya and Kenna are 2 weeks apart and it has been so fun to have them so close in age. They are so cute together and they give each other hugs and kisses every time they get their hands on each other. The kids love to have birthday parties and we are lucky to have so many family members close to celebrate birthdays together. Happy birthday Taya!

Kenna and Taya sure love each other!

Look at those kids waiting for Taya to eat her cake. That is always the funnest part of a 1st birthday party!

Kynzee and Aunt Jessica. Kynzee sure loves Jess!

And here's Alyssa the fireball! She wanted me to take pictures of her and I took so many that my battery died so I didn't get to take very many of Taya on her birthday but we sure got a lot of Alyssa Bean.

Kenna and Auntie Katie!

Crazy hair day at school

Maddy had crazy hair day at school so this is what we did to her hair. And her sidekick Kynzee also wanted to celebrate crazy hair day so we made them both have crazy hair. Daddy had to go to Les Schwab Tires and he was taking Kynzee with him and asked me to take the crazy hair out. Kynzee refused so Daddy went to town and got quite a few stares at Kynzee's crazy hair.

Grandma and Makenna

Makenna loves her Grandma! She plays pat a cake with her, sings her songs, reads her stories, but most of all just sits and loves on her. Aren't Grandma's great!

Maddy's Preschool Graduation

Maddy graduated from Preschool! But the poor girl misses the deadline for Kindergarten by 6 days so she has to go to Preschool again. It's a good thing she likes it so much. Her Graduation was so cute. Mrs. Long had a cowboy and cowgirl theme, Maddy looked so cute in her cowgirl clothes. She had a part that said B is for boots I wear on my feet brown, pink, blue or black they always look neat! She did excellent at saying it in front of everyone. I am so proud of Maddy she has learned a lot in school, and works so hard at writing her name everyday. Way to go Maddy! My camera wasn't working very well so these are the best pictures I got. My good friend Kacey took some others for me that turned out a lot better. Thanks Kacey.

This is Maddy's whole Preschool class. I am so mad I chopped Mrs. Long's head off. I am a bad picture taker.

Maddy and Skyler were so good through the whole program. They are best buddies!

Maddy, Kynzee, and Jaden after the program. Maddy was so excited to get this cute horse that they made in school for the graduation.

Sweet Sisters! Kynzee wanted to go up to the front and watch maddy by the stage so I let her get a little bit closer and then before we knew it she had gone up to Mrs. Long and was talking to her in the middle of the program. Mrs. Long later told me that Kynzee asked when it was going to be her turn to do her part. That funny girl! I guess she isn't as shy as I thought she was.

Mommy and Girls

My husband took this cute picture of the girls and I. I don't have very many pictures of me with the girls so I was kind of excited that I finally got one. It seems like I do all the picture taking, do any of you ever feel like that? It's fun to know that I did exsist in my children's lives :)

"Shortie" is almost walking

Look at "Shortie" she is almost walking. We call Kenna shortie because she is only in the 2nd percentile of her height. In other words very, very short. She is now standing up all by herself and is thinking very hard about taking a step. Look at her balance that juice in one hand and still stay standing, she is getting very good. Not too long and she will be walking and keeping up with her sisters.

Happy 3rd Birthday Kynzee Kate

My little Kynzee Kate turned 3! Kynzee wanted a little mermaid birthday party and it was so much fun. We also sang happy birthday to Aunt Jaimee who turned 22. Happy Birthday Jaimee! Thank you to all of her family that came to celebrate her birthday. How time really does fly. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. She is such a sweet little girl. Very shy and quiet, but such an angel. We love her so much. She adds so much love and happiness to our home. Maddy cannot stand to be without Kynzee for very long she is honestly her best friend, and Kenna cannot wait for Kynzee to give her kisses and loves every morning. We love her beautiful blue eyes and her sweet little voice, her tender kisses and hugs and I love yous. Happy Birthday Kynzee we love you!

Going Boating

I was in the laundry room folding clothes and came out to find the girls doing this! I asked what they were doing and they said we are going boating mom. I asked what the ponies were for and they are so smart they said that they were the oars that made them move in the boat. My girls have the biggest imaginations. They are always keeping themselves entertained by using their wild imagination. How fun for them!

Riding Horses

My girls love to ride horses! They have two fake horses that they ride at least once a day every day. They take turns on who gets to ride what horse and Kenna is just happy to ride any horse. They laugh and have so much fun riding together. They pretend like they are in a race and it is so fun to listen to them. Notice Kynzee has a different outfit on in two different pictures. well that is because she changes her clothes at least 10 times a day and in the middle of me taking pictures of them she said she had to go for a minute and came back with a different outfit on. I can't keep up with that girl and her clothes. They are everywhere! I am so glad my girls get a long so well. Maddy and Kynzee are so close in age that they are just best little buddies. I love it and so do they.

Cowgirl Maddy

Maddy got to dress up like a cowgirl for Preschool one day and had so much fun. Her Grandma Williams made these chaps and vest for her for Christmas and she loves them, and was so excited to wear them to school. Maddy loves school!

I Love Lighthouses

I don't think very many of you know this about me, but I absolutely love lighthouses! I remember in young womens years ago the song "Like a Lighthouse" and I loved singing it. Little did I know that this song would help me get through trials in my life oneday. We all have those huge storms in our life that feel like they could knock us over. I feel like I am like a lighthouse and when the storms in my life come I can stay strong and remain bright and the storms will eventually pass. My family and friends have also been the lighthouses in my life, keeping me going and helping me a long. I also at times feel like I am the boat in the storm and when things are out of my control and the waves or my trials are going to knock me over the Savior is always their for me shining bright like the lighthouse to lead me to shore. If only I look for him and rely on him to strengthen me I can make it. Always remember the lighthouses in your lives!

Bloglines

I finally figured out how to do Bloglines! Janeal and Holly you were right it is so much easier and saves a lot of time blogging. Those of you who don't know what it is you need to. So go to bloglines.com and sign up and then click on feeds in the upper left corner and add the blogs that you like to look at. And then from now on you just have to sign in and the feeds will tell you who has updated their blogs. So you never have to keep checking every ones blogs to see if they have new posts. It is so nice. Thank you for telling me about it. Email me if you have any questions and I will help you out as much as I can. Good luck to you!

No Reservations

I don't watch movies very often, but my sister left this one at my house the other day and said it was good. So Josh and I watched it this weekend and it was so good! If you haven't seen it you need to. I absolutely loved it! It was kinda slow at first but really turned out great. I haven't seen a good romantic show like this in a long time. It put those lovey butterflies in my stomach, very very good. I would recommend it to anyone.
