"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Camping Memorial Weekend

It really took  a lot of strength to get me to go camping this weekend, but I did it. I knew it was going to be wet and cold and I hate camping when the weather is yucky. We ended up going anyway and it was very rainy just like I thought it would be, but the kids had fun. There were some breaks in the rain when they got to go out and ride motorbikes and shoot guns and hike the mountain so it was fun for them. It was nice to see the sun come through the clouds the few times that it did. We spent a lot of time playing games and watching movies and just hanging out as a family so that was nice. We went with some friends, the Ropps and my sister and her husband. It really was a fun weekend away from home and all the stresses of life.

Kynzee got bit by the one little mosquito that we saw all weekend and look what it did to her eye. We were loving that there were no mosquitoes because usually there are tons and they are so annoying!

On our way home from camping we noticed that my brother’s in laws were stuck down in a hole where the were camping and they could not get out because it was to muddy and slippery. So Josh unhooked from our 5th wheel and went down and pulled while they pushed with their truck and they eventually got out. It was quite the adventure in the rain! They were pretty happy to see us!!

Hansel and Gretel Ballet

The girls had their Spring Ballet performance Hansel and Gretel, it was one of the cutest ballets I have ever been to. I absolutely loved watching it and loved watching the girls dance. Kenna was a cute little bunny and Maddy and Kynzee were ladybugs. Kenna hopped around like a bunny before the performance even started because she was so excited. She made a cute little bunny. Jaxon loved her bunny nose and whiskers and when she got home from rehearsal he wanted some on his face just like her. Maddy and Kynzee are becoming so graceful from ballet, I love what it teaches them and they made beautiful little ladybugs.

Kenna was talking to herself in this mirror backstage and it was so cute, she has quite the imagination, she is such a fun free spirited girl.

Silly Girls

I have been letting my girls ride their bikes to softball practice twice a week. The park that they practice at is not very far from my house and it has sure helped me out to have them get themselves there and home. We saw them riding home one day on our way home from Kenna’s preschool graduation and I just happened to have the camera in the truck and had to take a picture. Look how Maddy was riding her bike…seriously that girl makes me laugh so hard. She is always doing silly things and Kynzee just looks at her and smiles, these two are so opposite but they get along great!!! DSC_4102DSC_4106DSC_4104DSC_4107

My Little Boy

You probably think my little boy never wears clothes or that I never get him dressed. I get him dressed every morning and the clothes only stay on for about ten minutes and then he is in his diaper, sometimes not even in his diaper. Put he does add some accessories to his diaper like these sparkly slippers of Kynzee’s and this sparkly hat of Kenna’s and the pretty pink backpack of Maddys. He loves his sister’s things!! How could I not take a picture of him dressed like this…he was so proud of himself and he knew he looked so pretty :)DSC_4063

Kenna’s Preschool Graduation

Kenna went to Little Chick Preschool for half of the year and she absolutely loved it! Mrs. Long has taught all my kids now and she does such a good job with them. For their preschool graduation this year it was a dinosaur theme and it turned out so cute. Kenna’s part was… A is for Anklyosauras, it has a long tail that goes thump, it makes a loud noise and it will make you jump! Kenna loved saying her part and she did a wonderful job. She learned so much in preschool this year and had a lot of fun, there was not one day that she complained or didn’t want to go to school, she was always so excited to go. I can’t believe she is old enough to go to Kindergarten! What will I do without her here to entertain Jaxon everyday next year? They are such good little buddies, she will be missed that’s for sure, but she is very ready to go to the “Big School”.DSC_4065DSC_4066DSC_4071DSC_4082DSC_4083DSC_4097DSC_4099

Dance Recital

My girls had their end of the year dance recital at the Civic Auditorium. I am going to be very honest…I was so happy to see this day come because it meant an end to hauling girls to dance all week long, but after watching them dance that night I felt sad about it coming to an end. Another year over and the girls are another year older, that has always been a hard thing for me. They danced beautifully and I loved watching every one of their dances. I know I am their biggest fan :)  They have learned so much this year and it has been so fun. It has been a lot of work making sure they were to every practice and every performance with hair and makeup done and costumes on the way they were suppose to be. It was hard for me to keep up with three girls dancing so much, but I kept looking at it in a different way instead of it being hard for me…it was so much fun for them…so it was worth it!! I don’t know what next year will bring for us and dance but for now we will enjoy our summer off.DSC_4055

Of course Brother had to sneak in on a picture!!

Jaxon Jumping

I have this tiny trampoline and Jaxon just loves it!! He tries so hard to jump on it but his feet never make it off the trampoline, I love it. I had to take a picture of him jumping! This handsome two year old is so fun and he puts a smile on my face every…. single….. day. I love you Bubba!!DSC_4049

Happy Mother’s Day

I love being a Mom, it is honestly the best thing in the world. I would not trade being a Mom for anything. Heavenly Father blessed me beyond words by letting me be a Mom. I put being a Mom before anything else in my life and I will never regret it. There might not be a lot of “me time” but I am okay with it because I get to spend my time with these 4 beautiful children. Our lives are very good and we have a lot of fun together. I am so lucky to be able to stay home and be a Mom and I thank and love my husband for that always, it is the best gift gift he could ever give to me.  I love Mother’s Day and I had a wonderful day this year. Kynzee had a Mother’s Day program at school that her cute little class put on and I got to go to it. She loved having me there and she was so cute when she said her part “I will love you forever, I will like you for always, as long as I am living my baby you’ll be”. It was a wonderful way to start my Mother’s Day weekend. Josh and the kids got me a beautiful blue orchid and a patio swing that they said was for me and the baby to rock in this summer. I love it and I am so excited for summer to get here so we can use it.  I got to go see my beautiful Mother on Mother’s Day. She is the most amazing person and does so much for me. She is so wise, and so loving and I hope I can be just like her someday. I was blessed with a wonderful Mother and I know Heavenly Father gave her to me because he knew I would need her in my life and boy have I needed her. I love you Mom!
