"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Precious pictures of the girls

Here are some fun pictures that my friend Kacey took of my girls. We had so much fun having her take pictures for us and she did a great job. I have tons more, but these were just some of my favorites. I love having their pictures taken. I never want to have any regrets of not having enough pictures. Thanks Kacey!

How many people does it take to pull Maddy's tooth?

O Boy we were really in for a surprise when Maddy got a loose tooth over a month ago! We have been trying to pull that tooth and never have any luck. I am just a big chicken and I can't pull hard enough to get it out because I am afraid i will hurt her, and Josh said his fingers were too big (I think he just didn't want to be the bad guy) Aunt Jessica (our Dental Assistant in the family) tried to tie floss around it and pop it out, and Uncle Nick tried to pull it out. And Grandpa could have gotten it but didn't want to be the bad guy and hurt his little sweetheart. So after trying very hard we finally got this little tooth out on Easter night when Daddy came home from work. I was pretending like I was cleaning bugs off of her tooth so she would relax and I could get a good grip, I pulled a couple times and almost had it when Daddy came into the room and wanted to know what we were doing. He asked Maddy if he could get the bugs off of her teeth. He thought if he could find that little tooth and get a hold of it he could have it out in no time, and sure enough he did. And Maddy yelled at him and said "I thought you said you were cleaning bugs off, you pulled it Daddy!!!!" She was not happy, not only that but we had used a pair of her favorite (clean) princess panties to pull it and they got all bloody. Anyway at least we got that tiny tooth out and the tooth fairy was in trouble because she forgot to come two nights in a row. But when she finally did come it was all worth having the tooth pulled. And Kynzee was Maddy's little sidekick, always right by her side when someone was trying to pull that tooth, Kynzee even tried to pull it herself. O the joys of children :)

Easter Day

Don't you just love Easter? I sure do and I know my kids do. Not only does Easter leave us with a wonderful message of our Savior and what he did for us, but I feel like it brings our families closer together, like many other holidays do. We had a wonderful Easter. Josh had to work all day so when we woke up it was just the girls and I. Kynzee woke up first to find that the "Bunny" had come. She was very excited and she looked at her strawberry shortcake pony that the "Bunny" brought and then she looked at Maddy's (both alike except for the color) well i could tell by the look on Kynzee's face that there was something wrong. I left her to go wake Maddy up so we could make it to church on time. I wasn't gone for more than 2 minutes and I went to show Maddy what the Bunny had brought and my sweet little Kynzee had switched the ponies. Maddy's pink pony was now by Kynzee's basket and Kynzee's red pony was by Maddy's. I was laughing so hard inside but i just let it be and Maddy didn't know any different. Kynzee immediately said "Maddy do you love your pony?" and she kept saying it over and over. It was so funny! We then went to church and the girls learned so much I was amazed. When Maddy started giving me the details about our Savior and how he died for us I was so grateful for her and for the spirit that she brings into our home. And also so grateful for the good teachers who teach her all that she knows. We came home from church and I made dinner for my family and we ate and had an Easter egg hunt in my house. The kids had so much fun. I have to say we were missing Grandma who was in Illinois with my brother and his family. All of the kids noticed Grandma was not there and they missed her very much. Overall we had a wonderful day!

Dying Easter Eggs

We love to color eggs for Easter! My sister Katie came over to help us this year and we had so much fun. The girls were so good to not spill all over the place and Kenna was totally amazed at all the colors and the excitement. We had a stand for our eggs and we got it to close to Kenna and she got so excited and she looked at the eggs for a long time and then grabbed two of them as fast as she could and the eggs went straight to her mouth. It was so funny and she was so mad when we took them away from her. We managed to save the eggs before she broke them. We made lots of special memories while we colored eggs.

Auntie Katie and the girls, we were very thankful for her help with dying eggs :)

Easter Egg Hunt

Finally I got my computer back to add my Easter pictures! These are from the Easter egg hunt, Maddy and Kynzee had tons of fun finding eggs, but poor Kenna was so tired and it was cold so she was looking at me the whole time wondering what in the heck I was doing. But we had a good time and it was nice to go outside for a change.

Why can't I go to Kider Garden Mommy?

Okay so I have a really funny story... The other day Maddy heard me talking to someone about how she misses the deadline for Kindergarten by 6 days and now she will have to go to another year of Preschool. A little while later Maddy came to me and said "Mommy why can't I go to Kider Garden?" and I explained to her that she had missed the deadline. She then said "O Mommy that means all the other kids will be in the beautiful garden but me..." and I thought about it for a minute and by then she was in tears and didn't understand. It was so difficult to explain that Kindergarten is not a pretty garden full of trees and flowers like she thought. It amazes me sometimes the things Maddy comes up with! And I have to admit this was a pretty funny one.

Thank you for all your comments

Thank you to all of you who took the time to say hello to me. That was very nice of you, to all the others that's okay I will still like you, or at least I will like you a little bit....:)I have had people asking why I haven't posted any Easter pictures, well....my computer got a virus and has been getting fixed so I haven't been able to download any pictures. I will hopefully have it back in a couple days. Thanks for asking.

I don't think I like digital scrapbooking.....

I was trying a free trial for digital scrap booking and I really don't think I am going to switch. It took me forever to figure out how to do it and I think I could have gotten a lot more pages done if I would have done it the traditional way. Does anyone out there know of a really, and I mean really easy digital scrapbook website?

More Milestones for Makenna

Makenna is learning new things everyday, she is growing up right before my eyes. She now has a few words she can say...

Momma
Dadda
Papa
Go
Bye Bye
Hi
Uh O

Makenna can also wave when she says bye bye, and clap over and over again. She started walking along the sides of things like the couch about a week ago. She is getting so close to taking off on her own, but I sure hope she takes a little longer, I'm not sure I am ready for her to start walking. And one more exciting thing is she got one of her top front teeth finally (she has been working on that for a month) so now she has 3 teeth. She is such a sweet baby, we sure love her.

Movie Day with the Girls

The girls and I decided that we were going to get out of house today and go see a movie. We went to see "Horton Hears a Who" it was a wonderful movie and the girls loved it. Maddy laughed and laughed and thought is was great. I would reccomend it to anyone.
