"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Camping Memorial Weekend

It really took  a lot of strength to get me to go camping this weekend, but I did it. I knew it was going to be wet and cold and I hate camping when the weather is yucky. We ended up going anyway and it was very rainy just like I thought it would be, but the kids had fun. There were some breaks in the rain when they got to go out and ride motorbikes and shoot guns and hike the mountain so it was fun for them. It was nice to see the sun come through the clouds the few times that it did. We spent a lot of time playing games and watching movies and just hanging out as a family so that was nice. We went with some friends, the Ropps and my sister and her husband. It really was a fun weekend away from home and all the stresses of life.

Kynzee got bit by the one little mosquito that we saw all weekend and look what it did to her eye. We were loving that there were no mosquitoes because usually there are tons and they are so annoying!

On our way home from camping we noticed that my brother’s in laws were stuck down in a hole where the were camping and they could not get out because it was to muddy and slippery. So Josh unhooked from our 5th wheel and went down and pulled while they pushed with their truck and they eventually got out. It was quite the adventure in the rain! They were pretty happy to see us!!
