"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Santa came early this year!!!

I cannot even believe I am making this post!!! My sweet girls have been asking for a piano for a couple years now, they want to learn how to play so bad. Maddy has been using a toy dog xylophone of Jaxon’s to teach herself how to play, she just pretends it is a piano. As a little girl I wanted to learn to play as well and my parents never had the money for a piano or lessons so I never got to play. When I would go to my Grandma Pasley’s house I would play her piano I loved it! I had a good friend teach me how to play Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, and that was the only piano I ever learned. My friend Shalyce played absolutely beautiful, she was so talented, I remember listening to her play in church and wish that I could play like that, she really played amazing. Josh and I have talked and talked about buying one and I really thought he would never buy one. Well we got a phone call from Santa, actually Maddy got the call, and he told Maddy that they have been such good girls this year that Santa is bringing them a gift early because he doesn’t have room in his sleigh on Christmas Eve. Maddy’s eyes lit up, the look on her face and the rest of ours was unforgettable.  She got off the phone and was jumping all over the house she was so excited. Not very long after that the elves showed up with this gorgeous piano for us for Christmas. We will never forget this Christmas!  My girls are so excited to learn how to play the piano I hope they always have a love for music!! Now where is my friend that plays so beautiful so she can teach my girls??  Maybe clear over in England way too far away!!! O I forgot to mention Pa Pa can even play the piano, he learned when he was a young boy and still remembers a little and my girls were impressed!! Oh I am crying with excitement for you all! That is the most beautiful Christmas story ever. There is nothing like good music coming from a piano...

I hope you are able to take lessons too and have your hearts wish come true.

What kind of piano is that?? My daughter wants to save up for a grand piano someday, but I always thought it would take up way too much room in her apartment. Now I see your piano........it's like an upright baby grand. So cool! Please e-mail me the make and model and what it is called. Thanks!

How exciting! Probably the best present your kids could get. By the way, I think you did a great job cutting Jaxon's hair. I always cut my boys hair and it gets easier with practice!
