Motorbike Endurance race in Montana

We took a 5 1/2 hour drive to Montana this last weekend to watch Josh do an endurance motorbike race. It actually turned out to be really fun!! I have always loved riding motorbikes and camping and the outdoors, I grew up with a family who loved the outdoors, so it comes easy for me to love doing the things that Josh loves to do. And I love to take the kids with us so we can have fun as a family and teach the kids to love the outdoors as well. Here are some fun pictures from our weekend...

This was on the mountain side in Helena, Montana I couldn't believe this giant statue of Christ on the mountain I had to take a picture through my window!! Okay so I have to write an update from when I posted this thanks to Lynn's comment!! This is not Christ.... it is a Lady....the Lady of the Rockies dedicated to women, boy I have bad eyes, thanks Lynn. O yes and it's not in Helena it's in Butte :)

This is the Missouri River it was beautiful!

Miss Kenna being such a good traveler in the car. My kids have learned to travel good because as soon as Spring hits we are going and going to all kinds of fun places, we love it.

As soon as we got to Cascade, Montana where the race was, we had to check the motorbike in on Friday night, so while Josh checked the bike in the kids played on Maddy's motorbike. They were happy to get out of the car.

Beautiful mountains in Cascade Montana

This is the Bull Pen where they keep the bikes until Saturday when they start the race.

The mountains where the race was at, they rode all through this mountain side.

Baby Jaxon waiting for the race to start

The girls so excited to see Daddy start the race, they were watching so patiently. (I know nice picture of Kenna :) oops!!) All these gas tanks are lined up so when the riders come through half way through the race they can fuel up if they need to.

Goodbye and good luck Daddy is what the girls told him. He gave us a thumbs up!!

For the first few hours of the race it was far up in the mountains and we couldn't see him so we left and found a park close by to eat lunch and play!! The girls had a lot of fun, they laughed and laughed as Maddy pushed them on the swings. I discovered that my girls are so easily entertained. They were so good for me :)

We made sure we were back in time to see him come in for the "special test on the grass track" It was like an obstacle course set up and right in front of us so we could watch, they did this twice through the race so it was nice that we at least got to see part of it. The girls were cheering their Daddy on it was so fun to see them so excited for him. There he is number 212!!!

The second time through the grass track!!

All done!!! He finished within the time he needed to and we were so proud of him. He was very dirty and sore but he loved every minute of it :)

Going swimming in the Hotel always a joy for us all!!!

Kenna learned to jump off the edge and was loving it!
Jaxon was such a good baby :)

Daddy throwing Maddy in the air, I always loved it when my Dad and brothers did this to me.

Kynzee has been learning to go under water and is not so scared anymore.

Kynzee was my biggest helper with Jaxon in the Hotel.

A few animals that we saw!

We had lots of fun and we would do it again in a heartbeat!! We are lucky that our Daddy takes us with him on all his fun adventures so we get to see the world. What a fun way to spend our weekend :) We are always up for getting out of the house and making a memory, even if it is
5 1/2 hours away in the mountains!

That is SOooooo cool!!!! Seriously!! What a fun weekend!

And when I saw the statue on the Montana Mountain, I squealed! Cause now I feel like you and I have both been to the same place. Not at the same time, but still.........lol.

Growing as kids, whenever we passed by it we had our dad slow down so we could take pictures of it and hear our mom repeat the story behind it every time. We never tired of the story.

Do you know the story? Why it's there? And what it's built for??
You can read about it here, if you haven't:
