"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Merry Christmas!!

I cannot believe Christmas has come and gone, it’s crazy how fast December goes by for me every year. We had a wonderful Christmas this year and there was so much joy in our home, how can there not be with 4 happy children right. Gotta love Christmas morning with kids around :) Santa came and the kids were very excited to say the least, our house was bouncing!!! We all got to sleep in which was nice, but since we slept in we got a late start so we opened a few presents and then church started at 10:30 so we stopped opening presents and got ready for church. Church was wonderful and filled us with the spirit. Our Bishop was there for the first time in a long time since he has been battling cancer. It was wonderful to see him and my kids couldn’t stop talking about him being there. I think it made our Christmas day more special that’s for sure. So after church we came home and opened the rest of our presents which was excited and fun for us all. I had put a ham in the oven in the morning so we ate sandwiches for lunch and just relaxed and it was so nice. Then my Mom made a big dinner and we all went over there for dinner in the evening, I forgot my camera at my parents house so no pictures from that party, darnit!! We had a wonderful day and the kids were so appreciative of everything they received and it was just great!!! As always I took tons of pictures of Christmas morning, I want to remember the kids on that special day and the only way I can is by lots of pictures :)

I always take a picture before the kids dig into their stuff!!DSC_7734DSC_7732DSC_7735DSC_7736DSC_7737DSC_7738DSC_7739

My parents give all their grandkids a picture for their first Christmas and since they have had a huge boom of grandkids all at once they got behind on pictures. So this year Jaxon got a picture from them of a little boy and a horse, it is priceless, so special with a special little note on the back of the picture.

That was sure a lot of presents to open. Your kids must have been extra good this year. Jaxon's faces he pulls are just hilarious.
