"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

A New Life

Josh has worked at the site as a security guard for 10 years and owned his own construction business on the side. When he started working at the site he started his business at the same time to be able to work on his days off from the site, he worked 4 nights on and then 4 nights off. He slept very little, he worked hard and has supported our family very well during this time. It has been a long process and very hard for our family and for him to have him gone so much. We finally decided after a very firm answer from Heavenly Father that it was best for him and for our family for him to quit the site and only do construction. We took a huge risk because we lost our insurance and had to pay quite a bit extra to buy our own policy, we also don’t know how steady construction will be for the next years to come. We weighed all the odds and overall it was just best to quit. The site was a place where we have been very sure that Satan got the best of Josh and we no longer needed that in our lives. It has been a very rough 10 years with so many ups and downs and life changing experiences for us both. Josh’s Grandma Ruth William’s always told me that the site was the devils playground and she wished Josh didn’t have to work there, she has since passed away and when I went to the temple to get an answer about him quitting or staying she was the one who gave me the sure answer when I was in the temple that day. I feel bad that it has taken us this long and we risked so much by having him out there. We are so excited to have him home every single night now and have somewhat of a normal schedule. There are so many benefits to having him work construction and we hope and pray that it will all work out for us, so far it has been the best decision we have ever made. We are excited about our new life ahead and we know it will be a happier healthier life!DSC_3213
