"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Hiking with Daddy
Josh took the girls hiking to the hot pool up big elk mountain. I really was very nervous about this but he insisted. He was originally suppose to go with his brother and his two oldest kids but one of their kids got sick so they could not go. Josh did not want to cancel on the girls since he had already told them they were going. So he asked his friend Daniel and his little boy to go with them. It was a 14 mile hike and when they got home I heard all about it for days. The girls came home with cuts in their feet and blisters on their heels, and they were exhausted. They were so dirty, I don’t think my girls have ever been so dirty, in fact I know they have never been that dirty. They sure had a lot of fun with their Dad. It was nice of him to take the time to do something fun with them. Josh has a little point and shoot camera that he takes when he goes hunting, motorbike riding and on all his other adventures. It is so nice because then when he comes home I have pictures, because usually it is me taking the pictures.
Josh and I were married in September of 2002. We have four sweet little girls and a handsome little boy. Maddy 11, Kynzee 9, Makenna 7, Jaxon 5, and Raegan 2. I am a stay at home mommy right now and I am loving every minute of it. I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I love my husband and my children more than anything, and this blog is really all about our lives together. We have so much fun as a family. Life is a journey, not always an easy one, but we are making the most out of each day!
“One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.” Thomas S. Monson
