"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Happy Father’s Day

Father’s Day was our first day home from the hospital so we spent it at home and it was a wonderful day. Josh made us a yummy breakfast and he took good care of me and all the kids, he was such a big help. We gave him his Father’s Day gifts and the kids were so excited about that, they gave him some new shorts and shirts and a miniature egg frying pan and spatula and some books and a singing card. But the biggest gift of all was a brand new baby girl, I am so glad that I could give him something so special for Father’s Day. My c-section was actually scheduled for Father’s Day and the doctor ended up taking her early otherwise she would have been born right on Father’s Day. My sister came over to see us and brought us some yummy cheesecake that she had made and brought over to my parents for Father’s Day so that was so nice of her to include us even though we could not go over there. She stayed for a little while and Jaxon and Kolby played, those two have so much fun when they are together, I love it. We had a wonderful day and I am pretty sure Josh had a Happy Father’s Day. I have to say that I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Father in my life, he does so much for me. The kindness and love and service that my Dad gives to me is endless, he just gives, gives and gives more and I will always know without a doubt that I am loved by him. Heavenly Father blessed me with so much by giving me the Dad that I have and I love Father’s Day because I get to honor that special man in my life. I know my kids love their Daddy as well and they were excited for Father’s day to show him how much they love and appreciate him.

I couldn’t leave any of these pictures out because they all showed how excited the kids were to watch their Daddy open his presents from them. DSC_5060DSC_5061DSC_5062DSC_5063DSC_5064
