Well at least for now it is a girl!!! I have never had a baby be so shy in showing us what they are but this one has sure been tough and it’s probably because girls are harder to see than boys for obvious reasons. They have told us twice now that they think it is a girl so I am pretty sure that means it is. They just always say well maybe that’s the cord in the way…or maybe its because the legs are too closed… etc etc they are never sure that it is a girl. I do have a placenta previa right now and the doctor wants that to move so I will be having another ultrasound but not for another four weeks. Placenta previa just means the placenta is down too low and you have to have a c-section if it stays that way, but I have to have a c-section anyway so it really doesn’t make a huge difference for me. Kenna has told us all along that it is a girl so if anything I am going to take her word for it. My doctor doesn’t have the greatest ultrasound anyway and there is an office in town that you can pay $25 and have them do a gender check and they guarantee that they can tell you so if you know me very well at all you will know that I am heading there next because there will be no walls painted unless we know for sure :) I am the kind of person that has to have everything ready when that baby comes home so it wont be any different with this little one. As far as everything else with the baby it is very healthy and even measuring bigger than it should be. I was thrilled to see a 4 chamber heart and a healthy spine and head those are always things I am afraid of. I feel very blessed to be carrying another baby and to be doing so well. I cannot believe that Heavenly father would entrust me with 4 of his special daughters and 1 wonderful son. I hope I can teach them all they need to know and that they will know how loved they are by their Mommy. I will just keep doing the best I can and pray for the rest to fall into place.
