"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Goodbye January!!

I am so glad to see January go. I have been enjoying this nice weather and sunshine and it just doesn’t seem like February at all and I love it!!! We have had a lot going on lately and I am afraid it is just going to continue on through February as well but then March looks very nice :) Maddy saw the Doctor last week and got a new cast. The Doctor said because she had to have it on for so long we could come in halfway and get a new one so it didn’t get all gross. They also did an x-ray and it looks like she now has an extra week or two on top of what she had to get her cast off. She was bummed, but we will just keep counting down the weeks for her. She might get to play one basketball game without her cast and she will be thrilled if that gets to happen. I have had lots of Doctor appointments and blood work going on and I might finally see a good road ahead. The Doctor called and the thyroid levels are finally moving in the right direction and things are starting to look up. I now get to cut back on having my blood drawn so I don’t have to go in as often, which I am so happy about. It seems like every time this happens and I get my hopes up the thyroid levels crash again, so I hope that doesn’t happen this time. I am 20 weeks pregnant…half way there!!!! This pregnancy is flying by!!! Tomorrow I get to have another ultrasound to hopefully be able to see what the baby is and to check the rest of the baby to make sure he/she is healthy. I always get really anxious with these ultrasounds and I sure hope everything is okay. I have been feeling pretty good with this pregnancy, I got sick but not too bad, and I have had really bad headaches and have been very tired but I think that is from the thyroid, I am not sure. I can’t complain though because for the most part I have just been chugging along. My older girls are such a big help to me I don’t know what I would do without them. Lots to keep us busy in February with basketball games and practices, dance performances and practices, and we are moving bedrooms around and redecorating bedrooms to get ready for the new baby, we are also making our office into a piano/living room which is going to be a big project but will be so nice when it is done. I need to potty train Jaxon and I am not looking forward to that at all. Lots going on here in our home, we are always busy, and I can’t say that I love to always be busy, so next year things will be very different and not so busy, I will slow down and so will life. I guess sometimes we learn the  hard way, but at least we learn. I am sure I will keep you posted with lots of pictures of all these fun things coming up. Right now my goal is just a day at a time and to make it through February!!!
