"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Goodbye Shalyce

I have this friend who has been my buddy since the day I was born. In fact we were born a day apart and our Mom’s shared the same hospital room. Shalyce will always remind me that she is older than me!! Shalyce and her two kids moved to England a year a go because her husband is in the military. Well a few months ago she made a surprise visit home to be with her family for a little while. I stopped by the other night to say goodbye because she was leaving to go back to England. I wanted a picture of our kids together, but Kelty, Shalyce’s little girl did not want to be in my picture. So here we have my four kids, Shalyce’s little boy Gauge and then Shalyce’s sister’s little girl Keylee.  What a fun picture to have!! Thank goodness for blogs so that I can follow my good friend all the way to England!!
