"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

First Day of School

Here we go...... another year of school!!! Another year of adventure!!!! It was a cold nasty rainy day to start school but we survived! I let the girls pick out their outfits for the first day and tried to make it as fun as possible for them. I hope my kids always love school as much as they do now. This year Maddy is in 1st grade and has Mr. Mckinney and he has been an awesome teacher so far. Maddy said he played the guitar the first day so she loved that :) Maddy loves eating in the lunchroom!!! She is so excited to go to school all day but it has been hard for me to adjust to having her gone. Kynzee is in Kindergarten and has Miss Walker for a teacher. She is a wonderful teacher, Maddy had her last year and we just loved her. Kynzee was also very excited for school and had been counting down the days for the last month. She gets to have her cousin Alyssa in her class so that has been fun for her. I hope this will be a fun year for my girls, I hope they make good friends and learn good things :) There is always so much to worry about when they leave the doors of home... but they have to do it, I can't keep them home forever! For now Kenna and Jaxon and I will hang out at home and wait for the girls to get home from school.

Cute pictures Natalie. I love the shoes that the girls are wearing. I know what you mean about worrying about your kids while they are gone. That has been on my mind a lot this week!

Love the pics. Kynzee is looking at you like, "ok mom... I am way too old for you to be following me to class. Go away please." Gosh Nat, they are getting big fast.
