Family Pictures

We finally got new family pictures done!! I have been trying for quite a while and I don't know why it is always hard to get it done but it is. I wanted them done in time for Maddy's birthday and our Anniversary. I have so many family members and friends who take wonderful pictures and I was lucky enough to get into one at the very last minute and she was so kind and did an awesome job. I had a hard time deciding which ones to post but since I make my blog into a book I posted all of my very favorites :) I have been dumb in the past and just posted my newest pictures on the side of my blog and not in a post so it wont publish in the book. I am learning :) I had a friend tell me the other day she didn't know you could make your blog into a book. YES you can and you better so you don't waste all that time and not have a copy of it for your kids to read someday. A Journal is what I would call it :)

Pictures are so important to me, they always have been. I never want to go very long without updated pictures :) I love them in my home, in fact most of my home is decorated with pictures of my kids and our family. I heard once that if you have a picture of your child on the wall in their bedroom where they see it everyday they will grow up to have good self esteem and they will know they are loved and important!! I believe it!! My Mom actually told me this and she read it in a book!!! Thanks Mom.

Josh and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary on September 7th, that was also Maddy's birthday. I could not believe that we had Maddy on our one year anniversary, after being in labor for 24 hours I finally had her and I will always joke that she had to wait to come on our special day so we could celebrate together every year. It has been fun and I will always know how long I have been married because of how old Maddy is :) Anyway so it has been 8 years and I am so glad every day that we are still going strong some days stronger than others. What a blessing it is to us and to our children. I recognize that blessing every single day of my life!!! When I look at our four beautiful children I am just so thankful for what we have. Our song back in High school was "Your Still the One" by Shania Twain. Every time I hear that song I think it is just perfect for us and I hope in 10..20..30 years from now we will still say "Your Still the One". I feel like people give up too easy these days on their little families, too much heartache, when we just need to realize that life is hard and we need to play with the cards that are dealt to us and do the very best we can with what we are given. I know it will be worth it in the end and what an accomplishment we will achieve! My motto is "You have to work really hard for everything great in your life" It's true. So here's to many more wonderful years together!
