"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Canoe trip!!
My Brother Nick goes on this canoe and camping trip every year and this year Josh and the girls got to go with them. They canoe across String Lake and Leigh Lake and camp at the base of Mt Moran if anyone knows where that it. This year My brother Nick and Nathan went with their kids Jani, Jaden, Max and Charlie. And then my sister Katie and her husband Rodger went. Josh brought Maddy and Kynzee and me and the other two got to stay home and have our own fun :) They had so much fun, I think it was so nice for the kids to spend some fun time with just their Daddys. My brother always does fun things like this and it was so nice of him to invite Josh and the girls. They camp rough compared to what we are use to camping and they slept in a tiny tent together! It is bear country where they went and no one told me this until they got back which was a good thing because I think I would have worried so much more than I already did. They did see bears... two of them! They both were within 20 feet away from them, a cub and a big grizzly bear! They were camping in the middle of the berry patch and the camp rangers said the bears were hungry because one of the trees that they usually get their food from didn't produce the bark it needed this summer so the bears were looking for food for winter!!! I cannot believe they went camping in the middle of this they are lucky to be alive. They heard a bear pounding on their food boxes at night but thankfully the bears didn't try to get through their tents :) My brother made this awesome video of their trip and my girls have just loved watching it. This is a trip they will never forget it was so fun for them. Thanks for taking them Uncle Nick!! Josh brought his camera and took some pictures.........here they are!!
That is beautiful country. Everyone is really making me jealous by posting outdoor pics. I live around farm fields! Can't wait to get back camping. There are trees around here, don't get me wrong, but its not like home. You girls look like they had a great time, tent hair and all.
Josh and I were married in September of 2002. We have four sweet little girls and a handsome little boy. Maddy 11, Kynzee 9, Makenna 7, Jaxon 5, and Raegan 2. I am a stay at home mommy right now and I am loving every minute of it. I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I love my husband and my children more than anything, and this blog is really all about our lives together. We have so much fun as a family. Life is a journey, not always an easy one, but we are making the most out of each day!
“One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.” Thomas S. Monson
