"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Three years ago....

On the fourteenth it was three years ago that Makenna Kay was born. She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and came into this world so healthy and happy. The day she was born was a day I will never forget as well as many others in my life wont forget. I really am lucky to be alive after such a horrible experience. It all started with a broken arm from falling UP the cement stairs in the garage with Kynzee in my arms, that led to smashing the placenta which put me into labor a couple weeks later, which led to a c-section, a cut uterine artery that bled and bled, lots of pain medications, an allergic reaction to a drug which led to liver failure and a trip to the ICU, and a long recovery from there!! But out of all that I got a sweet baby girl that gave me so much hope that things would be okay. We love Makenna so much and are so thankful for her in our lives, we feel lucky to have her here today.
