"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Christmas Eve
I have been very lucky this year for the holidays and even though I could not drive and wasn't in the best of shape or feeling very well, my family took very good care of me. Josh was working, so my Dad came over and drove me and the kids to my parents house on Christmas Eve so I could spend the evening with them. The power went out at my house and it was out at their house as well, so my Dad had a nice warm fire built and we sat around the fire and had fun with the kids. Then my mom made some yummy soup and we ate dinner. The kids had so much fun peeling and eating oranges that my Mom had for them. We watched the video from my brother Jesse's cruise to Mexico, and then went home. Josh was home from work so we opened our Christmas Eve pajamas and got ready for Santa. Kenna had already fallen asleep so she opened her pajamas in the morning. We had a fun, very relaxing, Christmas Eve and I was glad I didn't have to spend it alone. Christmas Eve was so exciting for the kids this year they couldn't wait for Santa to come!!! I am so thankful for my family and for all they have helped me with over the holidays.
I am really loving the pics of your cute family.. I am sure that this Christmas will be the most treasured and remembered for sure. So cute how the boys and then the girls all match in their new p.j.s!!
Josh and I were married in September of 2002. We have four sweet little girls and a handsome little boy. Maddy 11, Kynzee 9, Makenna 7, Jaxon 5, and Raegan 2. I am a stay at home mommy right now and I am loving every minute of it. I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I love my husband and my children more than anything, and this blog is really all about our lives together. We have so much fun as a family. Life is a journey, not always an easy one, but we are making the most out of each day!
“One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.” Thomas S. Monson
