"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Cheerleader Camp

A girl in my ward called me to see if I wanted to put the girls in cheer camp this summer for two days. I have never wanted to encourage my girls to be cheerleaders but I thought it would be fun to get them out of the house and let them play with their friends at cheer camp. It turned out to be a lot of fun for them. Sometimes they need that break from their Mom!! They were a little out of control at the parent performance and I don't think they learned much of the dance that was taught...that's Maddy for you, can you tell by the pom pom on her head...silly girl!!!

I feel bad because Savanna did this cheerleading camp last year and she wanted to do it again, but we didn't hear about it. Oh well!

Awww! I would of loved to have seen that. So cute! I was a cheerleader for 6 years....all through junior high school and then through high school. I think it was the only thing that saved my rebellious butt! LOL! I was captain of the squad for the last 3 years and I learned how to be disciplined as well as instill that in others.

I think that Cheerleading is much different up here than in the US.
