"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Motorbike Race in Boise

My brothers have been racing in this 100 mile race in Boise for a few years now and Josh decided to try it out this year. It is actually in Idaho City right before Boise way up in the mountains and this year it was 115 mile race!!! Josh left at 10:45 a.m. and did not cross the finish line until 6:36 p.m. It was such a hot, long day and I felt so bad for the riders because a lot of them didn't even get to finish the race it was so long. It was a very hard race in the mountains going through all kinds of trails and logs and side hills. We didn't even get to watch them because they were back so far up the mountain we couldn't see them. There was a gas stop that they had where we waited for them to come in so we knew they weren't hurt or missing somewhere like some riders were. So we got to see them one time in the middle of the race for just a minute and then they were off again. I couldn't believe my crazy husband really wanted to do this or do it again next year. But it was a fun weekend that we won't forget, especially Josh!!!
The girls being so good in the car!!

Our first camping trip of the summer!!

Can I tell you you how much I love to go camping!!!! Sorry for all the pictures but I had too many to choose from (like always) When I was little we went camping all the time and I loved it and still do. O my gosh we had a blast camping this weekend!!! We did just about everything we could do in the time that we had. We went on a huge motorbike and 4-wheeler ride and it was a beautiful ride and we had so much fun. We spent a day in Jackson Hole and had a horse and carriage ride that was wonderful and the girls giggled and loved it!!! The girls got a play pink gun and their Daddy taught them how to shoot it in the trailer at a stuffed moose, very funny :) Josh bought me a gun over a year ago and I have never even held it but I finally got a chance to shoot a log with it and it was fun. We went fishing and Maddy caught a tiny fish, she was so excited!!! Kenna reminded me of myself when I was little and went camping, she packed her babies around everywhere she went. She was always saying shhhhhhh baby sleeping, she will be a good Mommy someday. Maddy learned how to ride the little motorbike and she was a natural, it was so fun to watch her. Josh stayed right with her and was helping her, I remember my Dad doing that with me when I was Maddy's age, so much fun!! We sat by the fire and had smores and dutch oven peach cobbler....yummy:) We had the best weekend ever!!!

Year End Dance Recital 2009

Another year of dancing has come to an end for the girls I can't believe it. Maddy and Kynzee have now been dancing for 3 years and they are getting so good at it!! I love to go and watch them perform at the end of the year and see how proud they are at their good work, they are always grinning from ear to ear at the end of the night and I just love it :) They practice so hard all year and it is fun to have two little girls in dance, next year we will have three that is crazy, but so much fun and so worth it!!

Whitney and Shar (the girls that babysit for me) also take dance through the same place as my girls so we got this fun picture of all of them together!! It has been fun to be able to watch all of them dance at the recitals. My girls just love these two and look up to them so much :)
