"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Jaxon

I took some Easter pictures of Jaxon and boy was it an adventure. He is so busy and hard to take pictures of but I love that they each show so much of his personality. Jaxon is such a good boy and he puts a smile on my face everyday. He has just learned to say “Love you Mom” and it is the cutest thing ever it makes my day when he says it. I have been trying to teach him how to say it for quite awhile and he just came up to me one day and said it. Heavenly Father sent me this precious little boy for a reason and his hugs and kisses and tender touches and now his “Love you Mom’s” are just some of my favorite reasons why he is mine. I love you to little boy!!DSC_2391DSC_2194DSC_2389DSC_2195DSC_2196

Just a few thoughts..

I am now 31 weeks pregnant!! Wow this has gone by so fast for me. I don’t know if I am ready…I am scared!!

I am getting down to the last few weeks of dance competitions and recitals for the girls, this is a relief for me. I have enjoyed watching them and they have had a wonderful year and have learned so much. It has stressed me out knowing I have to travel for their competitions so far into my pregnancy. I guess I am just getting tired. I keep reminding myself that we are almost done!!

Only 5 more weeks of school left for the kids…so excited to have them home for the summer.

I am so far behind on my blogging, I haven’t even finished Easter and Kenna had a birthday and I am always on top of their birthday posts and I am now very behind. I hate getting behind. So much going on lately just no time or energy I guess, hopefully someday soon.

I can’t believe my sweet Kenna turned 5, where did the time go, I sure love that girl. I had a friend birthday party for her this year and she was so happy and had so much fun, it was the best!!

Feeling weighed down, trying to get up and keep moving, I just don’t know how.

I think life is hard enough and it kills me that people can be so mean.

I have had way too many contractions lately, very painful, I get myself all worked up and I need to find a way to relax…if only!!!

Some days don't you just need a great big hug..I know I sure do.

So grateful for family and friends who are always there no matter what…gosh what would I do without them.

When you are going through difficulty and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always quiet during the test!! (I love this)

Did you ever want something so bad that you would do anything for it?? I know I do but it’s something I can’t just get or have it given to me…one of those hard things I guess I will hope that someday the Lord might see that I am worth it and that I have done my part in getting it.

I sure love it when the sun shines, it makes my whole day!!

I am thankful for good days when things seem calm.

I never forget my prayers, I think they keep me going forward instead of backward, does Heavenly Father ever get sick of me begging him for help??

I love being a Mom, but being the Mom to a two year old is just the best!! Jaxon always keeps me going and smiling.

Looking forward to my Doctor appointment on Monday I have lots of questions.

I am going to bed now and I will have more thoughts tomorrow I am sure of it, there are always so many.

Reach the unreachable star

I found this quote that I just love and I had to put it on my blog so I would always remember it.

Dream the impossible dream, Fight the unbeatable foe, strive with your last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable star.reach-for-the-stars1

Coloring Easter Eggs

We went to my parents house for the weekend and had all our fun Easter activities with them. My parents were so good to us, I think we wore my Mom out completely.  The girls loved staying with them. We colored eggs, it was so fun. Their eggs turned out beautiful!! I loved watching the smiles on their faces while they dipped their eggs.  I have always loved coloring Easter eggs but it is so much more fun with kids around to help.DSC_2687DSC_2689DSC_2691DSC_2692DSC_2694DSC_2688DSC_2695

Poor Jaxon fell off the picnic table and got a huge goose egg on his forehead I will explain and show you pictures later, but here is one of them.

I am so lucky to be their Mom

Everyday I feel so blessed to be a Mom, to be able to wake up and see these 4 children who love me so much. I feel so lucky to be able to stay home with them and to be there when they forget something at school, to do their hair in the morning and to make sure they have a lunch, to make sure that homework gets put in their backpack and it is done, or when they need a story or a hug or just to sit on my lap, I am lucky to be home when I am needed the most. I am lucky to have a husband who works so hard so that I can stay home with these sweet children. I would not trade my job for any other in the world.  I have felt a little uneasy lately about having 5 kids, I don’t know how in the world I will do it all, but I know I will, because I know that it always works out and things fall into place. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday to have these sweet children and to be their Mom. Here is my attempt at Easter pictures of all four kids and boy was it a job. My little boy did not want to sit still, but these are my favorites, I love them all because they have my children in them. DSC_1100-2DSC_1032DSC_0932DSC_0941DSC_0968-2DSC_0724

I saw this the other day and I loved it!! This is how I feel exactly!!

Conference Weekend

I just love Conference for so many reasons. I look forward to it every six months. It is easy for me to stay in my home and watch it or listen to it rather than struggling with my kids at church to try to listen to church. I can takes notes and I just get so much out of it. I love to hear the prophet speak and most of the time I feel like he is speaking right to me. I learned so much this weekend and I made myself a rather large list of things that I need to do better at. My kids were good for the most part, they listened on and off, Jaxon was my hardest one and he is just a mini tornado so I had to try to disregard what he was doing during conference so I didn’t get distracted. I painted the girls nails and toe nails and put sparkles on them. They did some bead work and I ironed them together and they were thrilled with their masterpieces. Those beads keep them busy for hours it is so nice. It was a wonderful weekend full of lots of good things and a wonderful spirit.

Kenna Dance in Sugar City

Kenna had a dance competition in Sugar City this weekend. She was so excited to go dance and it was a long drive for her because she was so excited. She thought for sure that this Sugar City place was going to have sugar all over the roads, well she was disappointed to find that it didn’t look any different than where we lived. Josh got home from Bear Lake in time to stay home with the other kids so I got to go with Kenna…just the two of us. It was so fun to have some alone time with her, she talked my ear off all the way there. She is so cute and she has so many things to say. It is fun for me to have some one and one time with each of my kids once in a while. She danced so beautiful and I really enjoyed watching her. She danced two different dances and took first in one of them and second in the other, these little girls have worked hard and they are getting better each time. I love to see their progress each time I watch them. It is hard for me to keep up with three girls dancing but when I get to watch what they have learned it is so rewarding. The girls love to dance and it gives them something to do besides sitting around at home so I guess we will see how long this Mommy can keep up with it.DSC_2581DSC_2584DSC_2585DSC_2586DSC_2587DSC_2588DSC_2590DSC_2591DSC_2592DSC_2593DSC_2598

My 3 Little Girls

These are my three sweet little girls in their Easter dresses. I love these girls so much, they really are my strength most days. These little angels have gotten me through some very difficult days, always reminding me what is important in their own small ways. I have been so alone with Josh working so much lately and I often wonder what I would do without my girls. They are always there with a hug and an “I love you Mommy”. They are so helpful to me, so willing to lend a hand when I need an extra one. I couldn’t keep my house going and keep everyone happy without the help of these girls. Heavenly Father knew I would need them in my life, I have no doubt. I am so blessed to see their smiling faces everyday. I love being with them because they are always so happy and it helps me when I am not so happy, their happiness is a wonderful feeling in my home. I hope I am teaching them all that they need to know so they can be good Mommies and wives someday. They sure are good “little Mommies” right now.

Jaxon and Kolby…Buddies

These two little cousins are just so cute together. I was taking Easter pictures of the kids and we wanted a picture of the two of them together and Jaxon had to bring two of his favorite toys a pig an a dinosaur. He did not care about having his picture taken but he really wanted to make roar noises for his dinosaur on Kolby’s leg. They were so fun to watch as they played with these animals. These two little boys are lucky to have each other because they are surrounded by a bunch of little girls. I hope they are always good buddies.DSC_1696DSC_1671DSC_1676DSC_1679DSC_1697DSC_1690
