"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

President’s Day!!

We finally got some snow that stayed for more than a day so the kids could go out and play in it. I have a hard time letting my kids outside when it’s so cold because of my two girls with asthma so they don’t get to go outside very often. But today they were out of school and they begged me to go out, so I gave in. I will probably pay for it tonight when Kynz or Kenna start coughing like crazy, but for now it was fun for them.  Josh has been working out of town on his days off from his normal job so he is very rarely home but this morning before he left again he got the snowmobile out for the girls, he must have known they would want to play with it, how nice of him. They woke up and it was sitting outside on the porch and they were so excited. So they cleaned their rooms and playroom and they got to go outside and play and play and play. They had so much fun!! The girls can all drive the snowmobile now so it can be quite the fight in the backyard at times when they think that someone has taken a longer turn than they were suppose to, but for the most part they play really well together. Jaxon was taking a nap so he missed out on the fun because he would have loved the snow. Maybe next time if our snow stays a little longer. The girls came in frozen and wanted hot chocolate and they warmed right up!! What a fun day off of school they had.
