Fall Camping

We love to go camping in the fall when it is not so hot and all the mosquitos are gone! We decided to go camping one last time before winter came so we went over Conference weekend with our friends the Fuhrman's. We hit a blizzard on the way to go camping, there was snow all over the ground and it was so cold I wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. We snuggled in nice and warm that night and hoped for the best the next day. That night my tooth started hurting really bad and by the next morning I was in so much pain I got in the truck and headed back home to go see the Endodontist and ended up with a root canal. I was not feeling good at all and I had left Josh with all the kids so I had to drive back up to where they were camping by the time I got back it was sunny and the snow was melting and it was a muddy mess! The kids were so dirty but were having a blast with their friends. It turned out to be a beautiful weekend and we had a good time. We had dutch oven cobbler and hot chocolate and tin foil dinners and they were so yummy.I loved sitting by the campfire listening to conference from our trailer speakers, it was so peaceful and beautiful up there I didn’t want to go home. We always have so much fun camping with the Fuhriman’s, our kids all get along and play so nice together so it was great.By the time we went home everything was covered in mud and we had a lot of cleaning to do when we got home but it was sure fun and memorable.

 

Raegan

My brother Jesse stops by to see me and the kids occasionally and he always takes a picture or two. These are some fun pictures he took of Raegan, she is such a sweetie. She was looking a little rough this day I think she had just gotten up from her nap or something but I couldn’t leave these pictures out of my blog. I love Raegan in the American Girl Doll hot air balloon that Maddy got for her birthday…so fun!!

A big day

It was a big day for us, the kids didn’t have school and Maddy had an eye doctor appointment to get contacts and I took the kids next door to get flu shots for all of us!! Maddy was so excited to get contacts and she did awesome I was so proud of her. I cant even put contacts in, it bothers me to touch my eyes so I was super excited that she could do it. Her dance teacher told her she couldn’t dance this year on the competition team if she didn’t get contacts so she decided to get them. I didn’t agree with what the dance teacher had said and thought a 10 year old was way to young for contacts. I have to say that now we will be dancing for a different company and not just because of the contacts but because of a lot of other reasons.  But anyway she now has contacts and has done amazing with them and loves them. The kids did great with their flu shot, no one even cried so we went out for ice cream afterwards!! We survived our big day with two outings! I usually don’t take all 5 kids to two different places especially in one day so it was a big day for me!

Good babysitters

Maddy and Kynzee are the best babysitters!! When we come home from going on a date they always have all the little ones asleep and the house is quiet and in order. It is so nice to be able to go out whenever we want and know that things are being taken care of, they are such good kids.

Riding the tractor

Little Raegan was making me laugh so hard when I was taking these pictures of her. She was sitting on this tractor making silly faces and sounds and laughing so hard it was so dang funny. I just love this girl she is the sweetest little thing and makes me laugh everyday. Raegan loves to ride on anything so this green tractor is by far one of her favorites especially when someone gives her a push when she is on it.
