"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Family Reunions

We went to Utah for two of Josh’s family reunions in one day. One reunion was for his Grandma Williams family and the other reunion was for his Dad’s cousins, the Phillips family. They were thirty minutes away from one another so we just went to one and stayed for a little while and then moved on to the next, they were both very fun! The first one for his Grandma’s family was in a field with a home made water slide that went down the hill by the field. It was actually really fun. Whoever was in charge of the reunion rented this field and water slide that someone owns. The kids had a blast!! There was a big slide and a small slide for little kids. So much fun, we were so glad that we could take the day off and go have fun.

Here are Kynzee and Kenna waiting in line for the small slide and in the background Maddy is hiking up the hill for the bigger slide.

Maddy was so nice to her sisters, if they were scared to go down the big slide she went with them.

These are the only two pictures of the water park. It’s hard to take pictures when you are playing in the water.

What a fun time we had going to two family reunions in one day!!!

Goodbye Shalyce

I have this friend who has been my buddy since the day I was born. In fact we were born a day apart and our Mom’s shared the same hospital room. Shalyce will always remind me that she is older than me!! Shalyce and her two kids moved to England a year a go because her husband is in the military. Well a few months ago she made a surprise visit home to be with her family for a little while. I stopped by the other night to say goodbye because she was leaving to go back to England. I wanted a picture of our kids together, but Kelty, Shalyce’s little girl did not want to be in my picture. So here we have my four kids, Shalyce’s little boy Gauge and then Shalyce’s sister’s little girl Keylee.  What a fun picture to have!! Thank goodness for blogs so that I can follow my good friend all the way to England!!

No training wheels for Kenna

Kenna learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels and it is a happy day at our house!! Kenna’s little friend Emry can ride a bike with no training and wheels and Kenna thought that was pretty cool, so she told Maddy to take the training wheels off for her and she got on the bike and off she went. No crashes or anything!!! Kenna is growing up way too fast for me. I love this sweet blonde haired girl of mine!

Kenna and Emry

Kenna got to have her very first playday!!! She was so excited to have Emry come and play at our house. These two little girls are the cutest ever and they had so much fun together. I loved that they were both wearing pretty summer dresses. They are so much a like and they had tons of fun playing. They played with the play kitchen, they had a tea party, they painted, they picked my flowers (Emry told me they were weeds) LOL!!! They let me take some cute pictures of them together by my so called weeds!! This was so fun for Kenna, I am glad she had a fun day. Kenna and Emry get to go to preschool together in the fall and I hope they become really good friends.

BBQ at the Williams

Josh’s sister Jaimee and her husband Travis live in New Jersey right now so we don’t get to see them very often. The last time we saw them was last year in July. So they came home for a few days and we had a little family BBQ. I love summer time, there are always fun family activities going on and the kids love spending time with their cousins. I don’t take very many pictures at Josh’s families activities because I always get weird looks for having my camera out, so I didn’t get very many pictures, but I got a few.
