"Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Gordon B. Hinckley

Our Busy, Fun Weekend

We had a very busy weekend, but busy usually means we are doing something fun! I will start by posting this adorable picture of my boy.....I finally got a smile from him and I was so excited :)

Then I did a bridal shower for my cousin Monika and it turned out great! We had lots of fun sitting and talking and laughing and doing all those fun things you do when family gets together. We just don't get together very often so it is fun when we finally do.

Miss Monika again :)

So me and Monika had lots of fun...we watched these two movies that neither of us had seen before!!! They were both great and I could watch them again for sure.

And here is my handsome "glow worm" as Monika called him, he sorta watched them with us :) I love my babies all wrapped up tight like this.

Maddy and Kynzee enjoyed riding motorbikes outside, Daddy even built them a bridge so they can cross the ditch to ride in the field. These little motorbikes are so fun for them, they love it! There are many other kids in the neighborhood that have little motorbikes and they all get together and ride it is so fun to watch them.

Fun Fun Weekend!!

O yes and I almost forgot I entered my handsome boys picture in the newspaper for the baby of 2009 and he won for the month of December!!! Can you believe that? I was so excited. I entered this picture that my friend Kacey took for me. O he is too cute and snugly for words, love him so much!

This one is for you Dad!

My Dad is a fireman, my hero!! I have always loved firetrucks, they remind me of my Dad. Before I even had Jaxon, in fact before I even had one child at all I started collecting firetruck baby clothes, just in case I ever had a boy. When I found out we had a baby boy on the way I dug out my HUGE box full of firetruck baby boy clothes, blankets, burp rags, etc and it was so fun to see what I had collected over the years. Here is my cute baby Jaxon in some of his fireman clothes, love you baby boy!

Thanks for all your photography advice, especially the shadow one it works!!!

O yes and I have to post these pictures as well. Who doesn't love baby hands and feet? O I love them so much I can't get enough of them. I love how they grip onto your fingers and hold on for dear life. My baby boy is getting chubby hands and feet and I could just kiss on them all day long. There is just something special about my little man, I love him so much, and there is no doubt in my mind that he loves his Momma too :)

My attempt at taking pictures of my kids

So my dear husband bought me a very nice camera for Christmas and it has pretty much been sitting in the box except for a couple times when I decided to get brave and take it out. It has so many gadgets on it I have not the slightest clue how to use it. It came with a couple days worth of classes to learn how to use it. So I signed up....remembering how bad I hate school I was scared out of my mind to go because I just knew it was going to be like going to school and I would rather be home in my comfort cave :) Anyway the class went fine but the guy was using all kinds of big words that I didn't know and he was talking so fast I couldn't keep up I really wanted to go back home where I speak to six, four, two and 3 month olds. So I needed pictures of my kids for Easter, I knew my husband would not be happy if I paid someone to do it because I am suppose to be able to save money and take my own pictures....here's my attempt. Maddy and Kynzee already had their hair curled and make up on because they had a dance competition, so I thought, hey all I have to do is curl Kenna's hair and get them all dressed and I figured it would be an easy thing, no it was more complicating than I thought. If it weren't for that darn lighting crap I can't figure out...maybe someday!!! And the shadows...why do they just appear everywhere?? Someone help me please. Hey at least I got some pictures and you can at least tell who is in the picture right. You would have laughed your heads off watching me take these pictures trying to figure out how to use my camera and make four, o wait I mean FOUR children smile for me was ridiculous. O how I love these sweethearts of mine :) They are so beautiful and fun, my life is wonderful.

Wanna know how I got them all to smile?? Their Daddy was behind me with suckers stuck in all the little holes in his hat, he looked like a weirdo and the girls loved it! They laughed and laughed at him and thought it was hilarious.

I love this picture because this is literally what Kenna does all day...looks at Jaxon....she loves him so much.

So we use to have all girls and lots of pink and now we have switched to blue!

And we have added this handsome boy that we love so much!

She is giving you the look....she was a stinker and would not smile for me for nothing, this girl is something else let me tell you what!

O and this one is just a natural and smiles like a princess in all her pictures, such a doll! And she was so patient with me while I was trying to figure out my camera.

Miss Maddy wanted to watch i Carly and she was not thrilled to have to get up off the floor and get dressed :) But she was so good for me and did it anyway. Love this girl she is a big helper.

Dance...Dance...Dance...

I'll tell you what, being the Mommy of 3 little dancers completely wears me out!!! My girls love to dance and it is worth all the hard moments I have with it, like driving them there three different times a week, and curling 3 heads of long hair. This is Kenna's first year dancing and it has been so fun for her. Maddy and Kynzee are getting so big I remember when it was their first year dancing, crazy how fast time flies. Well I was late like always tonight for their dance recital, girls had no make up on, not dressed and I flew through the school door like I had lost my head, literally. I had spent almost half the day curling hair and getting girls ready, it was crazy, absolutely crazy!! My poor baby thought he was starving as you can see from his picture :) But it turned out wonderful and beautiful and they had fun and that is all that mattered in the end, so worth it! Love these girls so much. Kenna got to dance in a special dance with her Daddy to "Cinderella" if you have ever listened to that song you will know why everyone had tears in their eyes. It was about a Daddy who dances with her little girl and how someday she will be gone. I was so happy that Kenna got to dance with her Daddy it was so special to her she talked about it all day. They have one more recital, so lucky Daddy gets to dance one more time with his little girl who absolutely adores him, he was great. It was a fun night for all of us.

I can't forget a picture of my baby who spit up all over on everyone who held him tonight!! Sorry. At least he wasn't crying :) Such a sweet baby!

My brother Nick and his little girls Alyssa and Taya were also in the Daddy dance!
